The Mabati Mansion Entire place in Naivasha, Kenya

A very unique and ‘Quirky’, modern (Eco-Friendly) bush home set at the foothills of Mt.Longonot Volcano in Naivasha. The house is built from Mabati (metal sheeting) and is a one of a kind design in Kenya. The house has a small plunge pool which is solar heated during the daytime & can be wood fire heated at night. If you are looking for a romantic weekend with a partner or a quiet weekend alone to relax this is the house for you! The house is totally ‘off-grid’ and powered by the sun ☀️
The space
The house is a unique ‘lean to’ design with an open plan bedroom & kitchenette. A big, super king size bed built from terrazzo, 1930’s cast iron bathtub in front of a big window, enclosed bathroom and outdoor shower. A cast iron wood fired stove is at the end of the bed to keep you warm on cold nights.

A wooden deck and heated plunge pool are attached to the house. The pool can be heated by burning wood in the stainless stove at night so you can enjoy sitting outdoors in warm water.

There is also a large wooden deck covered by a stretch tent, perfect for yoga, lying on a sunbed or eating outdoors and taking in the stunning view of the mountain.

All waste left is composted or recycled.

For larger groups the house can be booked in conjunction with Longonot Loft (a two bed house next door but same plot) and in total we can accommodate up to 8 pax.
